You need it to declared to be off the road for tax? if you put the car in some one elses name.. then back into your name , you can declare it off the road immediately. Hope this helps.

I would hope to go.. that's the plan anyway. 1 mini two occupants. You could also go rosslare to cherbourg then 700k drive to lommel. Fishguard to Dover is 548km and Dunkirk to Lommel is 235 which is 783km. Theres not much difference between both routes driving wise but only one ferry with the cherb...

Yea there is.. if you measure voltage across the positive and negative on the coil you will probably find it to be 12 to 13.5v ish. This would indicate its a standard non ballasted coil.

If the pink was connected you would expect to find 6 to 7 volts across the same terminals.

The white and pink wire would certainly suggest that it was ballasted at some point but it may have been re wired. Others may confirm this.
