Re: Spi failed on emissions

Had it in with minifix earlier. Nothing coming up on diagnostics! Air hoses and such are fine. Have to solve the running rich problem first looking at the catalytic converter. Also, when pressing and holding the accelerator pedal the revs will stay constant. But when reving from the car from the eng...

Dim dip lighting system on spi

Hi folks, Hope somebody can help me out... Basically my new battery has been drained, I traced it back to the dim/dip relay(pink relay behind dash). The drain stops when I remove the relay or the fuse that powers it! Is this relay of any use, everything still works when it's removed, well I think it...

Re: SPI Mini Cooper

Got the seats from a guy up the north, you tell him what you want and he makes it. Very reasonable money too! He advertises seats that he makes on the uk gumtree.

Ignition light stayin on

Hi folks Put this question out there... My spi mini is never driven, but I noticed the last time I started it the ignition light stayed on for a few. It stayed on for a few minutes then went off. Re: english project import

When getting the vrt on my own mini the car was already in the country more than a year. I just told them it was on 3 weeks, gave them a date...no questions were asked! The Car must be mechanically propelled....words they used. I brought the mini on a trailer with no windscreen and panels missing. S...

Got it off eBay...with all the 3 gauges and cables and stuff for about 140 delivered. Then bought the rev counter separate. Looks well with the leather top dads and chrome vents.

Re: another question regarding spi

After a few journeys... Murray motorsport in Walkinstown do the water hose adaptors with temp sender take off if anybody is interested for future reference, save you going to Ebay. 19/20 euro. I couldn't use it because the sender I have was too long, would suit an electrical sender. have a guy tappi...

Re: another question regarding spi

Had a look on Ebay...no joy at the minute with thermostat housing.
might just see if I could get the sandwich plate tapped 5/8 to take the sender.

The hose adaptors on Ebay have smaller holes in them for the sender.

I was hoping this would be an easy fix!

Re: another question regarding spi

It's a mechanical Tim temp sender...diameter is about 15mm with threads. I've checked miniatures and minisport, can't seem to find a housing with that side hole. They have 8/10/12 but no 15...or 5/8s....they do have a sandwich plate with blank on it maybe I could get it taped. Anybody know were I co...

another question regarding spi

I changed my dash recently to center clock gauges....Speedo, oil and water temp. I haven't connected the water temp sensor yet, it's to go under the manifold and that's why it's not done yet. I'm just wondering as the new Tim sensor has it's own probe/cable, will this effect the ecu (or anything els...
