I think its the clamp that locks the distributor in place? Could be wrong though!

Yea i reckon that would work too Joey. Looks simple enough to knock up. Bout 2 hours or so i reckon , rough and ready for mine! Once its strong enough!

Just saw this roll over jig on the mini forum. Very simple idea. Im going to make one in the next week or so. My garage is low and this is perfect. And with the castors its totally mobile which is great. Heres the link. http://www.theminiforum.co.uk/forums/to ... -over-jig/

Yea the head of the bolts sheared off the mounting at the heel board. I have the 4 rear bolts undone so am i correct in saying that if i cut the heads off the remaining bolts i can lever down and out the sub frame, leaving the 4 threaded bolts attached to the heel board? Sorry for the confusion!

Sheared sub frame bolts.

Iv been trying to take my rear sub out of my donor mini but iv snapped one bolt on each side where its bolted to the heel board. If i shear or cut the remaining two ,Will the sub frame pull free backwards away to me ? Or are the bolts threaded through sub frame mounts? Not sure if i explained that t...

ok cool woodie il try get pics tomorrow, my nephew reckons the engine is pre 88 and the car a bit newer. Il get engine number too. Would it be easier to change starter if possible than re jig the wiring to suit the inertia starter?

So I helping my nephew with his mini, its a 88-91 ish 998 as far as i know. He bought it as a shell and got an engine with it. So he put the engine in it and now were trying to match up the wiring.
