MTM application form

Just looking at the MTM form and have a query. It asks for insurance details etc. but as I'm still in the midst of my project so I don't have any details to fill in. Can I go ahead and reserve my place and pay the fee and give the details once the car is finished and I have all the window decorations.

Re: Rebuild of my 1000 GT

Looks amazing man. Love the gold frames. I was gonna just shoot mine with black but having seen yours think I might go with a nice red to match the final colour of the car.

Re: Body Kit

Shells not to bad. The battery box and footwells need repairing and the rear panels need tacking back to the wheel arch at the seam. The body kit is in good shape apart from one crack at the n/s rear wheel arch. Should be an easy repair though as it fiber glass. It's riveted to the body and has been...

Re: Body Kit

Was thinking of just letting the whole shell go with the kit on it for €300 once I have it stripped.

99H997 'P' ??

Recently bought a donor for my project.

The engine number is 99H997P.

I can find details about a 99H997 engine but the 'P' is a bit of a puzzle. I found a few other forums where this came up bit couldn't find an answer?

Has anyone here came across this before??

Body Kit

I bought another mini this evening.

It has a full body kit on it which I don't want.

I'm gonna try and remove it without any damage to it and was wondering if anyone knows what it would be worth and where best to sell it?

Cheers

Re: c02 emissions

Were you quoted €480?

If so thats the minimum vrt for a car. It used to be €250 but the nice men in the Dail decided that was to reasonable. Despite the fact that charging vrt is illegal in the eu and Ireland has to pay a fine every year for charging it.

Re: Centre Speedo

Looks cool spud. Where'd ya get the seats.

When I bought the car there was a three dial clock fitted and I've seen a few awesome dashes to suit those, but the centre clock has that retro look which is pretty cool to.

Dunno what way to go??

Centre Speedo

Found a mini today in a scrap yard. It has the old dash with the speedo in the centre. When I saw it I thought that it would be cool to put that into my 88 mayfair.

Just wondered has anyone else done this and if so how did it turn out. Also can you buy a new dash to suit the centre mount.

Cheers.

Re: Engine identification

Cheers for the feedback. I'm gonna get some pics of it in the morning and throw them up and hopefully you will be able to tell me what I've got then. I have an option to do a swap on this for a scooter I have, so I need to make sure that it's the right motor for me.

Engine identification

Hey all,

Looked at a motor for Jules today. There's no Id plate on the engine. I'm not sure what it is.

How can I narrow it down.

Skelly might be able to answer that. I think he gets all his work done at a garage in the north. I saw a cooper he had fixed up and there was alot done to it.

Re: Jules

Yeah its had a patch in the drivers footwell. She needs a patch under the rear seat and another in the passenger footwell. She's had sills replaced at one time. She has had a bang at the front before too, took an hour of wire brushing to remove the isapon which was a good 1/2 inch thick to uncover t...
