HI mad-mini!
Do all please nip to the Elf Hornet Ireland forum and introduce yourself, your car and where you are!
I will def. arrange a meetup if enough people show interest and you fancy a get together and a cup of tea.
Nice to meet you.

Thanks, Woody!
You should put pics up there of your progress anyway, you'll get plenty of encouragement and advice there if you want it. I love seeing ongoing restorations.

Any other Riley Elf/ Wolseley Hornet Owners?
Hi - if you have a Riley Elf or Wolseley Hornet you may be interested to know that the Elf Hornet Register has just set up a special section on their free forum especially for Irish Elf and Hornet enthusiasts. This is to enable us to swap specifically local (Ireland) information. It would be nice to...

I'm all in favour of an indoor event, nothing worse than getting your jumble drenched!
Sounds like a good venue, too. See you there, fingers crossed!

Re: Coco ChanElf
Thanks Tony! I appreciate the comments, this is my first ever car restoration and I have tried very hard to get it right. In case you're interested, the baskets are from the 1959 Mini Register. http://www.1959miniregister.com/products-page/ They do also come up on ebay from time to time, but I think...

The whole interior (seats, doorcards, boot floor, door bins, carpets - the whole shebang) was done by Joe at Stitched Up in Dun Shaughlin. http://stitchedupcarupholstery.com Lovely chap, nice work and reasonable. The dashboard was reveneered by Chapman and Cliff in the UK. Dougal - s...

Coco ChanElf
Hi everyone! Been beavering away on my Elf over the winter and she's coming along a treat. Have replaced the wheels, got hub caps, painted the centres, replaced the overriders, new headlining and sunvisors, got original steering wheel and centre and fitted that...she spent a few weeks with Ray Cunni...

Professional fitter for headlining?
I'm wondering if there is someone you can recommend to professionally fit headlinings? I've acquired one but having read the instructions realise it's a bridge too far and I don't want to mess it up. I'm in dunboyne but would travel a reasonable distance to be sure of a proper job. Your recommendati...

Re: Somewhere to store and work on your car
Sounds great cost-wise, but it's just too far out for us.
I guess we'll keep looking nearer to home and if we find something we think might be good for several people we will definitely post here.

Rents.
Just looking at some places on Daft to get some idea what the costs may be.
There's a 2,000 sq ft place in Leixlip for €695 a month. My guess you'd put 15-20 minis in there.
Anyone got any similar possibles.

Re: Somewhere to store and work on your car
Hi I think it's a great idea but there are hurdles to jump with cost, access and location. For stangers to enter into joint contracts and leases and whatnot may also be an issue. I certainly don't want to get caught with other people's share of the debts. That said, it might be brilliant, and I am o...
