Re: Dungarvan St. Patrick's Day Parade
P.S. I had tricolour ribbon to put on the car aerials but may not have enough for everybody as I bought it to use it on the dogs in the grooming parlour so if you want to bring your own balloons or flags, please do!

Re: Dungarvan St. Patrick's Day Parade
Hi all, Change of venue for meeting point - can you all go to the Park Hotel instead of the Service Station (still on N25, first left at 5th roundabout on Dungarvan by-pass coming from Cork direction, right at 2nd roundabout if coming from Waterford direction). Apparently the car section of parade a...

Billy, I'll come along on the MTM, get some money off me on Monday before the parade!

Re: Dungarvan St. Patrick's Day Parade
The parade starts at 3pm so the organisers want us there for 2.15. We can all meet up at the Coolagh Road Service Station on the Waterford Road, all the floats leave from the roundabout just before Dungarvan. If anyone needs directions, contact me or Billy.
Re: Insurance
This is kind of obvious but I hope you told them its an old Mini Cooper as two companies gave me quotes for the BMW ones instead and I nearly had a heart attack.

Re: Dungarvan St. Patrick's Day Parade
Come on guys! 4 Minis in parade so far, lets give the kids of Dungarvan a giggle, they collapse when they see mine on its own, imagine the hysterics if they saw 10!

Dungarvan St. Patrick's Day Parade
Hello all, Billy suggested that some of the Minis in the South East (open to all though!) might like to take part in a St. Paddy's Day Parade so I rang the organisers of the one in Dungarvan and they're all for it. They usually have a bit of a classic car section but I'm sure a line of Minis would k...
alloys
Thanks for the advice, lads, the wondergoo has already been applied and since I won't be taking any tyres off rims myself I reckon I'll just add them to the list for Santa!
alloys
Thanks for that, MG. Do you think that's a specialist job or could any mechanic do it? I'd love to give it a go but am still at the stage of just admiring the pictures in the Haynes manual, the words mean nothing...
Thanks Thomas, Had forgotten I put up a query on the forum, just found it again now, doh! I had to get the tubes fitted anyway cos the tyres were going flat every 2 days, no punctures in them. Now the car seems to be dragging a bit and I'm not as sure of her on the ould bends anymore, the trust is g...

Italian Job
Hi Mini66, I've always liked the sound of the Italian Job but when I e-mailed a few queries to them I got no reply. I wanted to know if the fundraising was for Irish Childrens Hospital or England's and if you could get the decals off easily after the run! I've some "art" on the side of my ...

Hi Mini Marcos, Sorry I didn't check the Forum since my last post so didn't see your question. I've been having trouble with my wheels, think the alloys have had it (lovely Irish roads haven't helped), wear and tear etc, kept losing air so the Tyre Centre recommended putting tubes in the worst ones ...

Hi Starrywalsh,
Hope you got your Mini back ok and that you were happy with the job done? I'd be interested to hear how you got on...
My Mini is making a "noise", I know I have to investigate it but am dreading it too and I'm not sure who the best person to go to would be. Here goes...

Alloys
Hi all,
The rims on the alloys are coming away from the tyres on 3 wheels of my 98 Cooper (had to fit tubes). Is this a common problem and has anyone any advice of my next step? New alloys?

Hi 1.3_LHD, Not sure if you've arrived safely already, just thought I'd throw in my tuppence worth! Enjoy the motorways in England, they are fab, drove my 1.3i back and forth from Waterford to all over South England a fair few times via Rosslare - Pembroke, and the English part always seemed faster ...

Hi guys, Welcome to the Sunny South East  I don't live too far away from you either, so can't wait to see the cars and the pet shop too, when is it opening? Have been spotting a fair few Minis around our neck of the woods, we're not as rare down here as we used to be, but I'm sure your shiny g...

Hi Starrywalsh, Liam O'Connor in Ballylooby, Cahir had loads of experience working on Minis in England for years, he's done some stuff for me - he and his wife run Minibitz, (http://www.minibitzdirect.com). Billy O'Connell in Clashmore knows his way around a Mini too (024 96415), but being female, I...

Can't help with Blanchardstown area, sorry, but had to get same job done on mine, got a laugh out of the member named I Hate Speedbumps. Got my mechanic to jack the car up an extra inch as the country roads are a killer for Minis, don't know if thats recommended but it helped a bit. Hope you find so...
