Eamonn you absolute gentleman. I moved house and couldnt find the Haynes manual anywwhere. Probably still at the bottom of a box.
I was able to get a very very similar sized washer in Tripart in galway this morning. Thanks again. Should be back on the road in the morning.

CV Joint seating washer
Hi All.
Would anybody know the dimensions of the seating washer to torque up the cv joint/front wheel bearing (tool21 on minispares).
Or even better, does anybody have one that they could lend me for a day?
Thanks
Ciaran

Re: Seen a Mini?
Saw a lovely blue mini in Spiddal yesterday. Roof rack and signs all over it. Anyone on here?
Great weather for it.

Engine rebuild.
Hey all.
After reaching 100,000 miles I'm thinking of getting an engine rebuild. It is a bog standard 998.
If anyone would be interested in undertaking this please pm me with a rough price.
Option one is just to get seals done.
Option 2 is go full on and do piston rings etc.
Cheers,
Ciaran

Re: Mini ownership - is it a runner?
Hello, I picked my friends daughter (18 month old) up from the creche yesterday in my mini. To be honest it was a bit of a pain. The seat belt wouldnt stretch enough to go around the type of seat he uses. Difficult to get it in and out of the car too. I am glad it is not something I have to do daily...

Re: Starter Problems?
Hi Stuart,
Thanks for the reply.
The battery is only 8-9 months old. The fact it would not start when hooked up to my other car with jump leads made me think it was not a battery issue. Am I wrong in assuming that?
All the best.

Starter Problems?

Charged up the battery and still nothing. Tried jumpin off another car too. Lights, radio, heater all working fine. But wh...

Do you still have the black wheels off the 93. Any interest in parting with them?

A bit of a weird one
My mini started acting up yesterday. With the passenger door open the engine wouldnt start. Close the door and she starts perfectly. Open the door when its running and she cuts out. Close the door quick enough and it sparks back into life. Any ideas as to whats going on. Great as a party trick for a...
