Yes I reckoned it would need a new belt anyway, there was a lot of smoke! So if I take the belt off, whichever of the alternator or water pump doesn't turn is the culprit? Regardless of whether I do succeed in freeing them up if they've seized, could this have caused internal damage to the part and ...
