Re: rear subframe
It seems to be like the ole oil argument in that there's hugely mixed opinions on it, this here proves it http://www.theminiforum.co.uk/forums/topic/136454-galvanizing-a-rear-subframeanyone-ever-done-it/page__hl__%20galvanizing%20%20subframe. I can safely say mine hasn't warped but that doesn't mean...

Re: rear subframe
Hi, I'm just near the end of fitting mine, I got it sand blasted and then galvanized, seems OK any decent trailer/caravan on the road has it done with no signs of rust, quite cheap to get done too (€30 for galvanizing). Just make sure if you have any bits like exhaust hangers that may need welding o...

Re: Mystery Bolt?
The bolt is 95mm now so before it sheared off it was probably 100mm+, and it has a 14mm hexagonal head on it. It is actually almost equal in length to and width to the bolt going through the bottom of the shock which has me rightly puzzled. I'll bring it out to Wards in Kildimo as soon as I get the ...

Re: Mystery Bolt?
The rad is front mounted and is solid to the frame so there's nothing missing there, also I checked the bottom of the shocks and their fully intact missing no bolts??

Mystery Bolt?
Hi everyone, I took the mini out for the weekend and on the way home this evening I heard a ping noise after going over a bump, got out to discover this had sheared off from somewhere. http://i1087.photobucket.com/albums/j469/Dave_Kennedy/DSCF0928.jpg I checked the bottom of the shocks as the bolt g...

Re: Red-matte sprite
Like the idea of matte black, think its a really cool look and suits the body style, needs a big engine to go with it though, B16 conversion at some stage maybe??!

Malin Head in 10 feet
or
400 miles in 10 feet
(Both based on "an inch is a mile" road sign type of idea)
I think darhutch and 1973's ideas are good too

Where to buy QUALITY classic 20W50 oil in Limerick area
Hi, I have been looking for oil for the last week or so and Halfords seems to be the only place that sells this grade of oil anymore. Does anybody know who might still be selling Millers or Duckhams or similar QUALITY OIL in the Limerick area?
