Re: Mini City

Mini City
It’s with great reluctance I offer my mini (Maggie) for sale. Motor Neuron Disease makes it difficult for me to handle Maggie any more. She has been in the family since 2004. Fully restored in 2010. Engine (998c.c.) built by Mervin Johnston, Tullyhummon; subframes built with all new components by Ke...

Yesterday I e-mailed Donegal Motor Tax office asking for name and address of the first owner of my 1990 mini. As the log-book is a duplicate his name doesn't appear on it. the following is the reply I received - " Dear Sir, Please note that due to data protection legislation, this information c...
Re: Gaeilge
Yes antodeco that would be nice. Ach caithfidh go bhfuil daoine eile sa chumann seo a bheidh ag an IMM17 a bhfuil Gaeilge acu. Ba mhaith liom beirt eile.
Gaeilge
Do we have any members in this club able and willing to do a T.V. interview about IMM '17 in the Irish language? Someone wishes to do a documentary for TG4.

Re: MTM15 photos
Blew cylinder head gasket north of Sligo. Phoned Carl Nash and they had Peter Devaney on the scene within an hour. Peter took the three of us home to Inver, Co. Donegal. A bit disappointed not finishing and having the crack with the rest. That's 4 gaskets blown in less that 20 thousand miles. I'm lo...

Today I lost the cover of one of my repeater indicators. Has anyone taking part in the MTM got a spare one?

Re: fuel guage
Thank you all. I had a sneaky suspicion ti might be the float. I'll deal with it later. For now, I'll keep an eye on the milage. Go raibh maith agaibh.

Re: fuel guage
Rights, Thank you both. My mini is a 1990 City E with standard clocks and tank. I can certainly do it the milage way as suggested but I thought maybe someone might have come up with a way of curing the problem. Is it the sender, the float or the clock that's at fault?

fuel guage
I fill my tank and the needle stays up on the roof for about 50 miles, then drops to half ways for about 50 miles, then suddenly drops to the red where I know I can get 50 or more miles. Never tried to go further than 50 on the red. Is this normal? I would like a guage that would drop progressively ...

VIN problem
I took my mini for the NTC test today. She failed on a few simple things like worn ball joints but the biggest problem was that they couldn't find a VIN number. I explained that the scuttle panel had been replaced but they produced a form that had to be signed by a Garda certifying that this was the...

Britemax Twins
Back about 2 years ago, someone on this forum suggested - "What you need is the Britemax Twins! (Stay with me here!) Britemax make a dual pack of polish and sealant. The polish, does what it says, polishes the finish. The sealant then protects that finish so it doesn't oxidise/tarnish as quickl...
