Re: Rollcage & insurance

Cheers fellas.

The thing about Carol Nash is that for fully comp they want it garaged. I'll consider going back to 3rd party but I'll try out Autoline first, thanks men

Rollcage & insurance

Hey folks - has anyone had any luck finding an insurance crowd that will insure a road mini with a roll cage? I'm thinking of fitting one during a rebuild but current policy provider AXA won't insure any car with a roll cage and she's only a 92 so not viable for a classic exception to my knowledge. ...

Re: NCT Vin Location Question

Maxi - if you call the Dublin Stolen Car dept in Harcourt Garda station, they will come pay you a visit and may be able sign off on the car being legit and giving you a certificate to give to the NCT crowd. I just produce my cert every year for the NCT no hassles

Re: stage 1 and petrol useage

Sorry to thread hijack folks, but I've been monitoring this myself since my last tank fill and bit confused. I've a 1275 Carb + stage 1 - To fill the tank is a max of €32 - I just measured a poor 100 miles at empty - 100 miles @ 20.5 L = 4.5 Gal = 22.22 mpg Tank I would have expected to be 7.5 Gal b...

Re: VIn number and NCT

richieg - My 2 cents... I had the same problem, failed me twice. Spoke to a few guards and finally got pointed in the right direction. Rang the Dublin Carriage Office in Dublin Castle and got through to the stolen car dept. Explained the problem, next morning a detective called out to my house, rubb...

Mia - 92 1275

So this is Mia.... Shes a 1992 1275 Mayfair. I bought her nearly two years ago when she was a little bit scruffy. The previous owner had left it idle in your typical Irish rain for too long and the rust was kicking in bad. Got it reasonably cheap with work pending in mind and a recession just starti...
