probley just want to have a good look at your car. if its been restored lately probley seen if it was a good job or maybe he wanting to but iy off you but still he should have at least rang the door bell and ask you.thats what i think

the trick is you see if you heat the crome it comes off easy then you snad and then the prep. ya done it beford need an air sander to flaten down the crome but it takes time.

if i was doing that job i would sand it down with a sander with 120 grade sand paper.blow off the dust,rub then by hand 320 wet then 600 wet,dry off the bumper prime 3 coats 'make sure that the primer is fairly dry before you put on next coat' then rub down primer with 600 wet and spray bumper but m...
