Mine is a SPI so I will try the spark as you suggested........here's hoping!!!

Brand new fully charged battery and engine turns over no probs but wont start through ignition only with jump leads. What is an SPI and how do I check for spark??? I connected earth on altonater but where is car earth located its very specific in Haynes manual?

I just changed my altenator and car wont even turn over now. Altonater works perfect cause lights come on and current is good. I know cant be starter motor as I jump started it of other car with no probs. I am really stumped at mo, its a 94 cooper. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated please...

Hi all, New Mini owner and new to the forum.......which I am loving reading btw!! I just purchased a 94 Cooper 1.3i which has the usual rust spots front/rear window frame etc, nothing too mad though!!!. Haven't got pics as she is getting new rad, fan, mounts etc. Basically I got a quote of 2000 euro...
