Transport a mini
Hi It's been ages since I've been on here. Mostly cause I was in Australia for the last 2.5 years. But I need to get my mini back from Clifden to Dublin. So I need to get it back my mate has a LWB transporter. So as we can't go over 750kg unbraked he reckons a car trailer will be over this. I've hea...

Re: spi only running on 2 cylinders
Yeah I'll check that out when I have a chance in work the next few days. When I had the head off about a year ago I put a turbo head gasket on it and haven't overheated it. So if it is the head not sure how I blew it.

spi only running on 2 cylinders
Hi My mini Has been running like a dog since I replaced the o2 sensor and for some reason it's now running on 2 cylinders. It's not running on cylinders 2 and 3. I've replaced the coil the leads and the spark plugs. I checked the dizzy cap which looks ok didn't have one to replace it with. So I'm ge...

liquid metal front end
I was having a chat with a friend a while ago about a removable front end and he suggested using liquid metal to put a metal one together. This isn't something I'm planning more pub talk, but he made the point that if you use fibre glass front ends with brace bars it couldn't be weaker. What would p...

buying rear bin pockets
I've been looking for rear pockets for my mini to tidy up the inside a little the only thing I've found are these but seem very expensive for what they are. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Rear-Bin-Pocket-Classic-Mini-OE-Quality-Dashboard-match-/360500623161?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=i...

It's a real thing speedo on a bike engine speedo is calibrated for 17" wheels the car only 13" wheels on it so it corrects for an accurate speedo readingBilly wrote:Pardon my ignorance but what's a speedohealer? Sounds like an angel-hugger in swimming trunks.

If I was selling a car and asking nearly €15000 I would at least spell check the ad and I'm not even talking about the text talk in the ad. Some reason always make me suspicous. But maybe thats just me

Re: Snapped Stud
the way I do it is use a bar put it between the studs to stop the hub spinning then put a breaker bar on the castle nut and stand on it a few bounces and it should come loose, failing that a cold chisel and a hammer will break the nut.

Re: sensor after the catalytic convertor is it necessary
Thought about it but the buzzer also go's off if the first lambda is disconnected so I think it has some job there aswell

Re: sensor after the catalytic convertor is it necessary
the connection for the second lambda runs all the way back to behind the dash. so when I disconnected it the buzzer was going off the easier solution was to leave it connected but the sensor is tucked behind the dash. make sense?

Its deffinitely higher then that and I just replaced the seal theremacker wrote:it's a mini, everywhere!![]()
if it's coming more from the drivers side it could be the gear selector rod where it goes into the gearbox, a common leaking point on minis

My old exhaust had rusted through so I bought myself a fletcher stainless steel one(http://www.minisport.com/mini-spare-parts/info_SPDLF-SSAN583-2S1S.html). The new exhaust doesnt have a boss to fit a sensor which is directly after the cat so do I need to get a boss made so I can fit the sensor also...
