Re: NEW DASHBOARD

Hey I took the air con out of mine because it didn't work its not too hard just takes time. Two things that you need to sort out is you need a different bracket to mount the alternator as the waterpump drives the compressor which then drives the alternator and the there are two pipes that run into t...

Re: site activity

I know a few others have said it. But this is actually one of the best sites I go on. No posts of everyone calling each others bikes shite or thread hijacking like biker.ie or the clicky stuff on superduke.net.(No one will reply to your threads unless they know you) And no ones called me stupid for ...

Re: 1380 spi

Really didn't know about the idle my mini got through the nct before you sorted the FI and was idling at 1500. But its's 96 spi so getting a carbed 1380 below 0.5% CO2 might be tricky. I wonder if I can do the emmisions test with the engine off

Re: 1380 spi

Cool from the sound of things I guess I'll be keeping the carb which only leaves m screwed for the nct 96 mini. Thanks for all the info and any more will be appreciated

Re: 1380 spi

I can fix the carb its just a single su. I was looking at it because twin su carbs are quite expensive unless I find them second hand and mainly there isn't as much setting up no chokes, jets and points( I know I can get electronic ignition but money aswell)

1380 spi

Hi
I was wondering if it's possible to put the spi injection onto an 1380 engine as I have a 1275spi with a shagged gearbox and a 1380 with a malfunctioning carb plus I don't really want to end up with points. Basically has anyone done it if so how hard is it?

It mounts on the numberplate brackets and to the underneath of the slam panel. It will hold 3 six inch spots and is very solid .
It looks great how much you want for one?

Anytime Ive fitted coilovers as TMG was hinting to you  Always check the overall condition of your suspension components, Ive always replaced any of my bushings or worn suspension parts when fitting them, TBH Ive never heard of coilovers damaging subframes! Re: Coilovers

What poundage springs did you order ? Are all your bearings and bushes in good order, knuckle joints not worn, have you hi-lo's fitted ? Which shocks have you gone with ? I ordered the gaz kit from hudderfield spares. So didn't have options on springs, nothing looks to bad bearing and knuckle joint...

Re: Coilovers

I personally prefare coilovers on my modified mini's (mainly for track use or weekend warrior) as it allows me to ajust the spring rates I can use that combined with the rest of the geometry to give a nice pointy car with just about zero understeer and what I feel from using both is better balance!...

Hi This is my first post had a mini for a few months now and am looking to do a few upgrades including the suspension. So I'm looking at putting on a coilover kit. Everything I've read is either very positive or very negative about them their doesn't seem to be a middle ground on this. So who has th...
