Re: 14 years since IMM in Bandon.

I was not a member at the time and only heard about the IMM on the radio by accident. I had a rotten 77 mini in the garden at time so we headed down to the show it really got the mini bug juices going. Been a member since. It was a great show and the team did us proud. Cheers spicooper Agree 100% -...

Re: 14 years since IMM in Bandon.

Wow  So it would well be in the interests of a small town like Bandon to have an event like this - local trade should as petrol stations, restaurants, pubs and shops would make a killing fir the week! Sounds like with the right town behind it (with town council backing) it could very well be ...

Re: IRISH VINTAGE SCENE MINI SPECIAL _ PART 1

Do you subscribe Billy or how did you get it so quick? I just had a scout around the local shops here and no one has it yet.

Maybe its just New Ross - i normally buy Evo Magazine every months also, and a buddy of mine from up North gets it 5 days before it arrives down here

Re: Annual Autojumble

I turned left at the Clonsilla Inn, straight through all the way by Fort Lucan, into Lucan, turn left, and right across by Adamstown towards Baldonnell. Cuts out the toll and the M50/N7 Sunday evening traffic. Billy Yep, i did much the same, but on the way up, the lack of sign posts, and a one way ...

There is a guy based down in Limerick also, who i got a set of BBS's done with - did a cracking job (excuse the pun :) ) If he isn't too far away, chec...

Re: Cool number plates

You might all hate me after this as i know BMW aren't recieved well by original Mini fans :):) but i got my M3 registered last year, had to pay an extra €315 to get it, but it reads '96-WX-3'

I see the price of putting by a number now has gone up to €1000 in the last budget! Crazy stuff!

Thanks for the call today Aidan I'm really looking forward to this now, i haven't been to a Mini meet since the late '90s so i am looking forward to seeing how the scene has changed. I was actually at one of the AGM's in the Clonsilla Inn back in 1997 or 1998, can't remember what year exactly, so wi...

Re: Corolla Twin Cam / Lancer Evo

I have owned 4 Minis in the past, and 3 RWD Corolla's. I have driven an Evo 6 but never owned one. I would have to say that a RWD Corolla is similar in a lot of ways to the Mini with regard to handling. Like a Mini, the Corolla gives a deceptive feeling of speed - you might be doing 60mph, but it fe...
