Ah, thanks guys. Perhaps that is what the person I was talking to meant - the coil-over shocks. He did say that the std trumpet and donut system was eliminated altogether. Embarrassingly enough i dont even remember who the fella was that i was talking to. Could have been a mechanic guy i know. Can y...

Trumpets vs Springs? *Sorted, ta :) *
Hi All, :) During my mini's rebuild, as with everything else, I will need to replace the trumpets (?). I am not too sure what they do or how they work, tho i have seen them on the car.  A while back I had a discussion with someone who said that there are now springs available for the mi...

thanks for the offer Keith, I would jump at it, only I just realised i didn't state where i was based below my avatar. I live in Sligo, I'd say that's probably W-A-Y too far a trip, lol. Isn't there a mechanic or similar fella i can bring it to for tuning/setup? Would such a person do this as ...

Thanks Merlin :) Starting to paint the engine today. The rest of the car is a shell at the moment, and anything remotely rusty is being taken out, and replaced. Already replaced both the full sills. The plan is to then throw the engine back into the car. I think there is still oil in the engine, not...

Do i need anything else to complete the stage 1 kit, or is that it? What about the air filter, is the std 1 good e...

Whats the difference between these? Here is the std carb (?) on my 1L engine http://i9.photobucket.com/albums/a90/Robynphotos/Henry/PICT0073.jpg and here is a carb that i got as part of a Stage 1 bundle. Apart from the fact that it says 'mini sport' on it, what is the difference between it and my st...
