Wow, thanks for the great responses :) I didn't know of the existence of most of these, and the 1 or2 that do ring a bell, i had very little info of. Good stuff, thanks :) Yr right on the autofactors, I asked ours a while back what bits they could get for a mini, and yrman admitted not much. :? You ...

Have I said something wrong, or is there no one who supplies anything for the classic mini :?:

I should think that the latter is highly unlikely. :?

Is there a list elsewhere on this forum that already has the suppliers listed?

Mini suppliers in Ireland?

With this rebuild, we have bought an Unbelievable amount of new stuff for the mini, ranging from panels, to rubbers, to pipes, to britework, to indicators, etc etc... and I fear a helluva lot more still to get. We have gotten most of our stuff through U.K. mainland suppliers or fleabay, and g...

thanks guys :)

yeah simple sounds good. i did have a rubbing issue with the front wheels. But i hope that was just down to bent tie bars, so i have a set of new adjustable tie bars to go on, when ready. I'm running 5x12's or 5,5x12 alloys, so i shouldn't need to do any cutting, hopefully.

Ah, thanks guys. Perhaps that is what the person I was talking to meant - the coil-over shocks. He did say that the std trumpet and donut system was eliminated altogether. Embarrassingly enough i dont even remember who the fella was that i was talking to. Could have been a mechanic guy i know. Can y...

Trumpets vs Springs? *Sorted, ta :) *

Hi All, :) During my mini's rebuild, as with everything else, I will need to replace the trumpets (?). I am not too sure what they do or how they work, tho i have seen them on the car.  A while back I had a discussion with someone who said that there are now springs available for the mi...

thanks for the offer Keith, I would jump at it, only I just realised i didn't state where i was based below my avatar. I live in Sligo, I'd say that's probably W-A-Y too far a trip, lol. Isn't there a mechanic or similar fella i can bring it to for tuning/setup? Would such a person do this as ...

Thanks Merlin :) Starting to paint the engine today. The rest of the car is a shell at the moment, and anything remotely rusty is being taken out, and replaced. Already replaced both the full sills. The plan is to then throw the engine back into the car. I think there is still oil in the engine, not...

Whats the difference between these? Here is the std carb (?) on my 1L engine http://i9.photobucket.com/albums/a90/Robynphotos/Henry/PICT0073.jpg and here is a carb that i got as part of a Stage 1 bundle. Apart from the fact that it says 'mini sport' on it, what is the difference between it and my st...

I know this post ended a while ago, but i thought i'd chuck my 2c worth in... About 2months ago we had one of our Capri's done : Some rust-bits cut out & replaced, filler here & there, a whale tail fitted, towbar removed, bodykit tidied up, and a full outer respray job, all for Euro 1500. No...
