Putting petrol/brake lines inside car
I'm replacing the brake and petrol lines on the underbody of the car. I was thinking about running them through the inside of the car to avoid damaging them on speed bumps and the likes. My questions are: Is this as simple as drilling 2 holes under the era seat and through the bulkhead? Is there any...

Re: body work, welding question.
I've cleaned down the floor pans and out sills.
When I'm replacing these panels which one should i do first?
And do I need to brace the door, remove subframes?

Re: body work, welding question.
The rest of the body seams fine, the only places that seem to be bad is the sills and around the air vents, I plan on blanking these off.

body work, welding question.
I've discovery some rust on the front floor panels and the sills. If I replaced the floor panels would I need to replace the inner sills too, http://www.minispares.com/product/classic/MS25R.aspx or does this panel include the sill? Has anyone used this panel from mini spares before? Is it hard to fi...

Re: Quick engine swap question
I plan on installing adjustable tie rods.
Will the suspension side of things be the same?
Will i run into any problems if i use the 84 brakes with the 90 master cylinder and parts attached to the body?

Quick engine swap question
Quick one, Would is 1984 998cc engine/box the same as a 1990 998cc engine/box? Reason for my question is, I am about to purchase a 1984 engine on a subframe. I would like to swap out the engine and sub on my 1990, would this be a straight swap? i'm guessing the hose from the heater that runs across ...

Re: Mechanic
Didn't get a chance to get to a garage with her. I cleaned the points in the distributor and rotary arm, this did nothing. I then checked all the spark plugs, nothing again. When I was fiddling with the distributor cap I noticed that if you put pressure down on the distributor the timing got much be...
Re: Mechanic

Looking for a Mechanic to talk a look at my 90 998cc tomorrow.
Anyone that would possibly be available, I think the timing is gone off on it, car seems to be back firing and theres feck all power in her.
Any help or contacts would be really helpful!
Thanks lads!

Re: Suspension set-up question
being biased is a good thing, it shows the change was a good move and not a step back in terms of getting the car to feel more comfortable for daily driving.

Re: Suspension set-up question
Springs are more comfortable and do make a noticeable difference on the road, but you also get a little bit more body roll. You need to know what you want from your set up and how your car's used and on what type of road. Rubber has a greater inertia than springs and will also react slower but the ...
