This one is interesting in the fact that it keeps all the same running gear, but just removes the engine block. Concern would be the bit of extra weight. Offer it...
Re: Tyres
i got the Milestone GREEN SPORT - 145/70R12 69 T from them, nice tyre, better than i had hoped - too early to tell about wear but pretty good in the wet so far.

Re: Rear coil spring conversion
not wishing to spoil this thread, i got a set of 4 blue (soft) from Huddersfield spares - there is a difference between front and rear rates. rear are softer. there is a code number *painted* on the flats of the spring where it mates with the spacer or subframe,

Re: My 1980 1275gt
gutted, but glad to see you still have the car - i had one taken (a few years ago it has to be said) and they rolled it on the roof and kicked all the glass out of it when they finished lashing it around the campsite.

Re: Respray or Vinyl Wrap?!
i got front, wings, doors, scuttle and 3/4 panels done, with a little rust chasing done for €500 - wasn't the best ever paint job, (missed the rusty bit on the 3/4 window, a bit of lacquer run on the scuttle) but the car looks pretty good now - the paint match with the bonnet & rear panels is ex...

I have several Lucas units that are either short-circuited (draining battery overnight) or open-circuit (not charging, no ign. light) and a nice non-Lucas (Denso?) unit, any one of...

i have a set of coil replacements springs, they are the *blue* set, proved too soft for the rear of the estate so i'm forced to go back to rubber. on the lighter saloon they would be really nice i think - probably not on the sportspack though, are they not heavier? these are direct replacement for t...
