ignition timing issue - jumping

Hi all. Hopeing somone might be able to shine some light on this issue. While checking ignition timing using a timing light the flash was occuring before then after TDC. No movement of the distributor made any difference. Its an spi so possibly sensor related just woundering has anyone seen this bef...

Must get back to this, , a year on now finding it hard to get time to it with work other cars and college.. waiting for a class atm so i sed id pop on and write a bit, forgot where i was but sure a quick update now lots of pictures to come,.. After a few months of wiring and a new crank sensor there...

Think the vaccum pipe goes from the air intake to under the air box to 1 nipple,
and from the other nipple to behind the throttle body,
then from the other nipple behind the throttle body to the map sensor.. from what i can remember :roll: ,

Got this sorted with a few hours of sanding fibre washers assembling..and taking the diff apart.. countless amount of times!
now turns freely as it should. :o

Recently purchased a minispares 4 pin diff, i assembled it following the instructions given.. all was turning fine with the first output shaft and 4 planet gears in the cage.. with the second output shaft in it started to turn less easy :...

Hello, - Engine has a leak from the bolthole where the lower engine steady was, it is not a big leak but would it be expensive to get this part of the engine removed and the sheered off part of the bolt removed and the lower engine steady reattached. Not getting as much time at this as i hoped but went fitting the duplex timing set today.. placed the two sprokets to check alignment.. had to remove a few packing washers to get them in line, All was good until went to put on the chain the sprokets would not line up because of this bolt in the way ...

When you torque a head the 50lbs is designed to crush the gaskit a specfic amount so does fitting two gaskets half this therfore requiring 100lbs? Think you may have to look at somewhere like turbominis.com for more information or contact the manufactorer of the decompression plate. Il look it up o...

Now have Removed the head and fitted the decompression plate and the 2 headgaskets, gave the block, plate and head faces a quick clean, need to get a compression tester tomorrow to make sure the compression has been lowered enough. http://i1018.photobucket.com/albums/af308/ianob93/SANY0968.jpg http:...

thanks kenny..not going as far as changin pistons as of yet, might get head machined later tho :) jason.. u might be right, if i get that far in college is another story tho :lol: woody, its a water cooler tho seems identical to oil cooler, have electric pump for this, hoping to stay with the inject...

I bought a set of Falkens before and found they werent great.. then bought a set of yokohamas and they are serious!! would definitly recomend the yoks much better all round 8)
