I'm looking to replace some damaged wheels so I don't necessarily need a full set so if anyone has an odd 10" Minilite or Mamba wheels sitting in a shed then please let me know.
Thanks

Re: For breaking 1994 Spi.
Thanks James, let me have a look at my tyre options and what work I'd need to do to get them to fit. Cheers.

Hi James, jocelynn wrote: 13x6 wheels missing one centre cap 200 euro
I don't suppose you'd have another one of these wheels hanging around to make up a set of 5? (colour of 5th wouldn't matter). If you do I'd be interested in taking all 5 as a set.
Thanks,
James

10" Tyre Fitters North Dublin?
I'm looking for somewhere in North Dublin who have the right gear to fit 10" tyres (most places I've tried, their machine can't grab the small wheels). I've been fitting them myself at home with a manual tyre changer, getting the old tyres off isn't too bad but it's a fair struggle to get the n...

You can get DIY kits for this, google 'bedliner', it's used a bit in the States for pickups there.

Re: Stage 1 kit
The main heat problem is where the manifold heats the carb float chamber due to the proximity of both ,its usually worst were you fit an LCB with a HIF carb or Twin HS carbs and its best to fit a heatshield under the carb. In this case (if standard) its a 988 with a HS4 so heat shouldn't be a probl...

Surely if you believe the parts were stolen you should get the Guards involved?

Re: My Mini fails it's NCT
Sorry I should have been more specific , I used this method to unscrew the ball joint from the end of a trackrod which was stubborn. I have a scissors type splitter for removing the ball joint taper from the hub carrier.

Re: My Mini fails it's NCT
Scary accident. That's why I only ever use a heat gun, I think it's safer, I know it'll never produce the same heat as a gas torch but all you need is a relative heat change (hence the ice cube) to get the stubborn item to crack.

Wow that's a new one one me, did he use a gas torch and make it red hot? I only use a heat gun and an ice cube so it's not getting red hot or anything.

Re: My Mini fails it's NCT
No I don't have an impact driver, I was trying the 'old school' method of turning the screwdriver and hitting it with a hammer. I might also try the hot and cold method which normally works a treat with ball joints on track rod ends

Re: My Mini fails it's NCT
Thanks :D Overall the shell is completely solid. The only rust is on the bottoms of the doors. I'll start tackling them during the week too - once I get them off that is....I tried to remove the passenger door last night but the screws on the hinge didn't want to move. I've sprayed them with penetra...

I went at the passenger footwell this evening with a hammer & chisel for a bit and as I knew it would be, perfectly solid metal. http://jqmx0.brinkster.net/jqmx0/MiniDead/MinideadMeArse.jpg Primary structural fail my arse!! I'll straighten the floorpan a bit before I go back with it. If this was...

My Mini fails it's NCT
After I bought the Mini back in February I took it for its first NCT. The car passed the test without any problems. I took it for it's test again today and it failed. Here's what is failed on. Emissions - I'm ok with this because I did adjust the idle screw on the carb I must have just overdone it. ...

Re: Who has Cobra Monaco Pro seats fitted?
If you could take photos of your seats that would be great as it'd give me confidence that they will fit without difficulty. I'm not fussed about carrying passengers as this car is mainly for competition.

Re: Who has Cobra Monaco Pro seats fitted?
Thanks for the help guys, seats are a decent investment and I want to make sure I'll be able to live with the ones I get. The Clubman is a nice looking seat and I like the fact it's not too broad at the shoulders as it means (hopefully) I won't have too much trouble fitting them. I presume they don'...

Who has Cobra Monaco Pro seats fitted?
I'm looking at options for replacement seats for my 88 Mayfair. As I'm hoping to take the car to the odd trackday (as well as multivenue autotests) I'm thinking of getting fixed bucket seats. At the moment Cobra Monaco Pro seats are the leading contenders. I've seen photos of Monaco S seats fitted i...

Can anyone recommend anywhere to fit tyres to 10" wheels in North Dublin? My local place had a go but their equipment won't grip the wheel.

Re: Anyone fitted the Minispares 12" to 10" kit?
@ minionly : I'm in Dublin @ jocelynn : I was able to reuse the original one, the binding was down to the rear shield. I managed to find a picture of someone in the uk who fitted the kit and they didn't have the shield either. I've tightened up the hub nut and it's all good so far. The new calipers ...
