Check your rear foglight is working! It's a new check on the NCT -- my bulb was gone & I hadn't checked it before the NCT.

Mine failed on the wiper linkage last time. I got new wipers fitted, brought it up and it passed on the visual retest. I quite enjoy NCT-ing my mini -- it's great to see it passing when much newer cars often fail. It's more or less passed twice (the second time it needed a visual re-check of the wpiers) and I was really proud driving away in it both times.

I do indeed have a mini 30. The previous owners bought it in 1989 & registered it in early 1990. I think they were based around Wexford?

I have a black one. It's a 1990. Yours looks gorgeous!

Mine started about 50 mins after being immersed. And then started again two days later but was very rough. Then the next day it wouldn't start. Paul kelly had a look at it for me & it needed a new distributor cap and condenser.

Just in case that's any help!
