im actually doin the fas course one (2nd one) first time i did a bit of mig and arc bit did the exam in arc....,
im in anyway i love welding, just to afraid to try it on my car

was onto my cousin today, the car was on irish plates which he still has along with the logbook...
will i still have to pay the full vrt even when presenting these to the dvla or whoever it is you notify???

were you driving through cavan a month or so ago and met a red mini a few hundred yards before you get to the traffic lights?? (there is only one set of traffic lights in cavan town, just not to confuse everyone )

i am waiting for a reply from my cousin but i think that his mini was already on irish plates before. He lived here for a few years before going back to england, so i might not have much issues with the vrt and there might just be a small fee for re-registering it .. :arrow: fingers crossed... here ...

ok, i was originally on the look out for a project mini, got redirected to a bargain project on a different mini site but the project was in england, london... phoned my cousins husband who are living in london to find that he is also selling his mint 89 racing flame mini :lol: head started thinking...

well arrived home safe and sound and without any problems......... just in case i had a second set of the elec ignition which will be stayin in the car just to be sure it doesnt fail on me in the middle of nowhere or whatever.... have to say im well impressed with it... car pulls and drives alot smo...

i never go near the red line to be honest... the noise and vibrations scare the jibbers outta me..... plus when i let it rev that high i get a strong smell of burning oil or something..<---- that normal by the way??

got it fixed! :lol: had a look at all the cables and couldnt find any probs there so opened it up and had a wee goo... found that two little cables (dont know how to explain) were touching of each other wen they werent meant too, fixed that and put it back in and it worked again... have to say its s...

hi guys found this link on the miniresource site http://www.mm-4x4.com/britpart-electronic-conversion-kit-replaces-the-existing-points-and-condensor-2721-p.asp basicly its a cheap version of electronic ignition so you dont have to deal with points dwell and what not anymore... i ordered mine last we...

can someone just verify before i remove the carb.. is the jet needle that attches to the float on all hif carbs the same?? mine was broke on the hif38 so i switched the one from a hif44 carb onto it, which as result after many cancelations could be where the fault lies as to why my engine stalls on ...

the power is not mixed up with the input from the coil?? wat ?

hiya guys a long time ago (year or so) i decided to remove my clocks and put a little logo or sumn on them.. while i was at it i found something rattling in my tachometer so out of curiousity i opened it up, found nothing wrong and put it back together and back into the car..... :roll: tacho not wor...

try bleeding the clutch cylinder might help, easy job too...
