Re: 1983 Mini City

I can't remember exactly what I use in mine but I think there Phillips something like these
https://www.philips.ie/c-p/12342RGTS2/r ... light-bulb

Re: 1983 Mini City

Probably doesn't need a new wire run just a bad connection at one point. With the engine running move the loom about a small bit at a time until the engine cuts out . You should narrow it down quick enough.

I was wondering the same thing about the holes. Personally I'm a hammer and dolly man myself, you'd be amazed what you can achieve with a bit of practice

Re: 1983 Mini City

Car is looking great. you may find the outer part of the steering column is too low. refit the stalks in there proper position on the outer column , loosen the column mounting bolt and slide the outer column up to engage the cancel pin.

Re: Loose steering after attempted theft

That bracket is quite strong , check the condition of the parcel shelf above it. If you have a drop bracket the problem may be there. check the steering wheel itself for a break .

Re: Old Clubby 2BY1

2BY1 was well known in the club back in the '90s . It went through several rebuilds at that time, didn't have an easy life. John McGuinness was the last owner I knew of.

Its most likely the brown feed from the solenoid to the fuse box and the white feed to the fuse box. When chasing so many components not working you should work in this order. Black ;make sure all earth conections are clean and tight and were repainted make sure there is bare metal contact. Brown ;U...

Re: 1983 Mini City

I replaced my leaking water pump with one from a local motor factors but that started overheating only on motorway runs. Replaced that with a Minispares Evo pump and problem solved. The RC40 is a nice system.

Hard to get good quality bumpers these days. While you have it off paint the inside of it to prevent rusting from the back.
