right Guy i know is on the comittee for the Dunbrody Festival which is held every year in New Ross. And he has asked me if i could get a mini presence at the car show their organising(he has a mini resto project). it wont be just minis but a car show with all the local vintace and classic car clubs ...

but to answer your question about the looks, ya tens, wide ones will look cool under sprotspack arches. Ya got to lower the car loads but it looks cool. i didnt believe it till i saw it.

hi. putting 13ins wheels(to fill the sportspack arches) onto a mini causes the following problems. 1. Increases the unsprung weigh. ie a sports pack wheel and tire combo weights in at around 12-14kg where as a ten ins wheel is much less. this causes heaver steering and more harsh ride. 2. Welcome. finding a 997cc engine will be mucho hard. if the 998 is a cooper item id stick with that if originality is not a very very high priority. the 998 was a much better engine than the 997 dispite there only being 1cc in the difference. lots of small problems with the 997 were sorted in the 998...

if the engine turns over its not the starter. sounds like an ignition problem to me as nannyc said check your points and if they are good check the gap, also check the condition of your dizzy, rotor arm, plugs and leads. has your car been out in the rain????????? if so possible damp in your dizzy wo...

short answer is no. they wont. if you have rear seat belts in your mini as standard they have to be there for nct. and you also need standard front seat belts to pass. but yourself a working second hand seat belt for a few quid for the front, and once the NCT is done, fit your harneses

what marcos means is if you have the older style (non Verto) clutch,(which you prob have since your car is of 81 vintage ,assuming its the original engine), you need to adjust the throw on the clutch arm as the clutch wears. changing the exhaust should have no effect on clutch operations.
