Re: MiniResource Re-launch

Cheers Tony!

I felt it was a pity to let the information go, so the base site is back up and I'm hoping to re-establish the old forums as an archive in the near future.

MiniResource Re-launch

Hi guys, I hope this is OK to post here. Due to various reasons, MiniResource closed last year. A few of the old members have recently got together for a run so it seemed like a good time to have a relaunch. It's a fresh forum and everyone is welcome! http://miniresource.org/forums/index.php Thanks,...

Re: Miniresource

Sorry for the late reply but just to confirm that MR is now gone. To give a brief explanation, a few events transpired to come to this: 1. I left the country so no longer had the time or interest. This was easily solved as Macker graciously took over the site. 2. The hosting company hiked up their p...

Looks great mate! Last time I saw it must have been when I was doing the engine on Eimears Mini and you called over so I could see where one of the electrical connections went!

Great looking Mini! Any pics of under the bonnet?

Have you thought about running a remote oil filter in a slightly easier to access place?

ALMC Motor Show - 9th May - Dublin, Ireland

There is a fantastic show planned in the CityNorth Hotel for the "Jack and Jill" foundation. It's for classic cars, race & rally cars. They said they are looking for the unusual too!! http://www.almc.ie/cms/images/stories/clip/carshow.jpg http://www.almcmotorshow.com/ Spread the word! ...

Re: Accelerator Cable

I have a throttle cable in my shed. Unfortunately for you, it'll be early - mid next week before I can find it. It's brand spanking new.

Where did you snap it?

Re: Cheap Sportspack Tyres around Dublin?

It seems that Yokohama have stopped importing to Ireland as of 1st March which is a bit of a pity for Mini Owners.

Thanks for the replies!
I'd like to ideally buy the tyres locally if possible, rather than on the internet. Mustard, how much were your tyres and were they in stock?

Cheap Sportspack Tyres around Dublin?

Hi guys, Was doing a few small repairs on my girlfriends MPI and I noticed that her rear tyres are totally bald. Suffice to say it hasn't moved since. The fronts also are pretty much on the wear markers. I have some second hand 175/50/13 tyres (which I'm still to check out) but I'll need at least 2 ...

Re: Considering buying this mini

If it helps, I'm pretty sure I know that car. I brought it back from the UK with the previous owner in 2006. It pretty much has all the traits of everything I didn't like in a mini: auto, 1l, silver, 80s interior but I absolutely LOVED it. Really tidy car that was ziebarted from new. You could eat y...

Re: Garage

There are plenty of Chicken Sheds near me and since Cappoquin Chickens nearly closed down last year, I keep thinking if any would be available. I would imagine they would be ideal for Mini storage. Are they sealed in Mark, or do they have vents? Billy Billy, This shed was custom built buy my grandf...

Re: miniresource

Hey lads, Apologies for the problems with MiniResource. It looks like the site is gone for good, well from the domain name http://www.miniresource.com anyway. I'm fairly gutted about it all, but it looks like I've been dealing with some scam artists or something. Ta for the opportunity to give some ...

Re: Garage

Wow that's a great idea. Looks like a very cost effective way to build a garage. I got lucky with mine. One of the Family had a big old Turkey shed (24x12) which they didn't use any more. Cleared out 20 years of rubbish, layed a concrete floor with the help of a buddy of mine and put on new doors et...

Hi Kev,

What sort of gearbox is it? A gearbox rebuild including fitting etc should come in under €500 if you talk to the right people.

Love that last video - I didn't realise the car was as noisy outside the cockpit too!

Pity I have no in car action from the day - that's my next purchase!

Re: Mondello Mini 50th PICTURES

Wanted to come on and say thanks to the organisers and spectators for providing a fantastic day. It's top of my calendar for next year, the best show I've been to. Well done lads and lasses, Mark (Car 84) I can't post pics it seems, so here's a link... http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v509/commited...
